S-Affricate Assimilation

s_affricate_assimilation

Quite interestingly, this type of affricate assimilation, like many others, is at a premium for foreign learners of English. In my teaching experience I have seldom come across a case in which either Italian or French learners of English (no matter how fluent and articulate) would duly pronounce this articulation in both isolated and connected speech.

Assimilations are never stressed enough much less effectively taught.
